2013 Chevrolet Traverse Gets a Design Refresh

Paving the way for the future of new Chevrolet models, the 2013 Chevrolet Traverse made its debut at the 2012 New York Auto Show, offering up a revamped design that we here at Elm Chevrolet are expecting to see on many other new Chevy vehicles in the future.

The 2014 Chevrolet Impala was in limelight of the Big Apple last week at the New York Auto Show, with the totally revamped Chevy sedan making its debut at the world-renowned event. There had been plenty of buzz leading up to the unveiling, and we here at Elm Chevrolet can tell you it did not disappoint.

2013 Chevy Malibu Slated for Power Boost

While the announcement of the 2013 Malibu Eco has taken up much of the headline space, and deservedly so, with its eAssist energy-saving technology, Chevrolet recently announced specifications for the gas-only Malibu, still a popular choice among drivers in the greater Elmira area. Going over the list, it's looking like the new Malibu is ramping things up in the power department.

Natural gas is used for a wide variety of things; heating rooms and providing hot water in sinks and showers in a household; cooking on a stove or grill; even powering lighting sources. The Detroit Free Press reports, "Production of the 2013 Malibu will begin in January, rather than in May 2012." Confirming the report, Chevrolet spokesman Dave Darovitz, said the accelerated program "had been requested by Dan Akerson, chairman and chief executive of General Motors."

The next generation Chevrolet Malibu will be on dealership floors, including Elm Chevrolet, located at 301 East Church Street in Elmira, New York sooner than expected.

2012 Camaro ZL1 Unveiled

Chevrolet recently unveiled its new top-of-the-line model for its quintessential sports car, the Camaro, at the Chicago Auto Show. The forthcoming 2012 Camaro ZL1, complete with a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine that boasts an estimated 550 horsepower (hp) and 550 lb.-ft. of torque, will compete directly with the Ford Mustang Shelby GT500, whose current 5.4-liter V8 offers an equal amount of hp, but 40 lb.-ft. less torque.
